Iron Dome The Anti-missile Sytem, World is talking about.
Advancement in technologies does fascinate us but the implementation of some of these technologies can be magnificent and uninspiring both at the same time. The technologies we are talking about are modern age weapons. One must have heard about the ongoing crisis between Israel and Palestine. Recently, the mobile all-weather air defense system deployed by Israel near the southern city of Beersheva which is around 40 km from The Gaza Strip has been in the news. They have deployed 10 batteries of it around the region.
What is Iron Dome?
This remarkable Iron dome has been developed by Rafael Advancement Defense System and Israel Aerospace Industry.
It is an anti-aircraft warfare system designed to intercept and destroy short-range rockets and artillery shells fired from a distance of around 4km to 70 km.
An Anti Aircraft Warfare system is designed to nullify or reduce the effectiveness of hostile air action from rivals before it can cause any damage on the ground level. This advancement is hyperphysical in itself and visuals of which are nothing less than science fiction. But it is a reality now.
How does it work?
This system works in three Parts
First, it detects a rocket attack targeted within Israel.
After detection, the information is processed about the speed and trajectory of the rocket and sent to the missile battery system.
The information thus gathered, is used to direct an interceptor towards it. The interceptor locks the target by using miniature sensors to get closer to it and destroys it in mid-air.
The Iron dome, Specifically, Its system's interceptor is caller as Tamir, which is 10 feet long and 6 inches wider. It weighs around 200 pounds. A single Tamir Interceptor can cost around $100,000.
It is said that Iron Dome can detect rockets from 2.4 miles to 43.4 miles away. It weighs around 90 kg. and the maximum speed attained is Mach 2.2. They have deployed 10 batteries of it so far. Each battery can protect the area of about 155 square kilometers. It contains about 20 missiles, 3-4 stationary launches, and costs around Rs 730 crores each. It is even being claimed that Iron Dome can now also take down drones.
How successful is Iron Dome?
It is claimed by Israeli Authorities that Iron Dome has a success rate of about 90% and has been recently upgraded with new and better technology. It is said that the system has been rapidly improved to become the best short-range defense system on the planet.
Does Israel Only have Iron Dome?
No, They not only have Iron Dome which accounts to be very efficient for short-range but they also have two more anti-missile defense system which can destroy rockets from longer distances. They also have a Patriot missile system and an Arrow missile system which are large interceptors and are designed to defend against bigger threats.
Does Any Other country have Iron Dome?
Many countries have already either purchased it or are in talks with Israel Authorities. After watching its performance since its deployment.
Azerbaijan was the first one to reach an agreement with Israel Authorities and confirmed the foreign sale of the system in 2016.
India itself had signed a deal to buy Iron dome in 2017. Romania also has signed an agreement in 2018.
The USA also has acquired the system.
Certainly, Iron Dome has put AI forward in modern warfare.

very good and fantastic work. I aapprciate to you and wish you success
